Cables & Wiring โ Bahamas import duty
Most cables & wiring are duty-free: 7 of 11 tariff lines under Heading 8544 carry no import duty, and the rest run up to 45%. It includes cables fitted with connectors, winding wire โ other and optical fibre cables. Duty is not the whole bill: The Bahamas adds a 1% customs processing fee (minimum $10, maximum $750) and 10% VAT on the landed cost. 1 of these lines also carry excise duty (60%), charged on entry under the Excise Act on top of anything above.
