Bahamas freight forwarder prices

What it costs to ship a package from the US to The Bahamas with each forwarder, by island, air or sea, and weight: the forwarder's own published price, and what shoppers actually paid. I review every shopper's report before it counts.

Report what you paid

Prices for 5 to 20 lb by air to New Providence. The published price is each forwarder's own rate card for a 10 lb package; the typical cost is what shoppers reported paying. Forwarders with shopper reports come first.

Don't see your forwarder?

If you ship with a forwarder that isn't listed here, ask for it to be added. I look at each request before the forwarder goes on the site. Once it's listed, you and anyone else who uses it can report what it charged.

How these numbers work

Typical cost is the median shipping total across approved reports: half the reports paid less, half paid more. The typical range runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile, so the middle half of reports fall inside it. One unusually cheap or expensive report barely moves either figure.

Shoppers' figures for a forwarder only show once it has at least 3 approved reports for the same island, service and weight, shipped in the last 365 days. Older reports drop out. Every report is checked by hand before it counts, and reports far from the usual price for that forwarder are looked at more closely.

The shipping total is the forwarder's freight charge plus its other fees, such as fuel or handling, for the weight it billed (often the dimensional weight on the invoice, not the scale weight). It does not include the customs clearance fee, which is shown in its own column because some people clear their own packages through Click2Clear. It never includes customs duty or VAT. For those, use the duty calculator, which can add your freight to the duty, the processing fee and VAT.

The published price comes from the forwarder's own rate card, linked to its source, worked out for one typical package in the weight range you picked (3 lb for under 5 lb, 10 lb for 5 to 20 lb, 30 lb for 20 to 50 lb, 60 lb for 50 lb and over). It is freight only, before the forwarder's other fees. Shoppers' reports show what people were actually billed once fees and dimensional weight are added. For your own package, pick the forwarder in the duty calculator and enter its weight and box size.

Prices here come from shoppers and are moderated, but they are not individually verified, and forwarders change their rates. Check with the forwarder before you ship. A forwarder who thinks a figure is wrong can ask for a correction through the contact page.
