Phones, Routers & Networking — Bahamas import duty
Most phones, routers & networking are duty-free: 7 of 13 tariff lines under Heading 8517 carry no import duty, and the rest run up to 20%. It includes smartphones, routers, modems and networking equipment and parts. Duty is not the whole bill: The Bahamas adds a 1% customs processing fee (minimum $10, maximum $750) and 10% VAT on the landed cost.
