Chapter 98 · Section XXII: Special tariff provisions

Special Tariff Provisions — Bahamas import duty

Most special tariff provisions are duty-free: 90 of 94 tariff lines under Chapter 98 carry no import duty, and the rest run up to 20%. It includes samples of merchandise, trophies and potable water. Duty is not the whole bill: The Bahamas adds a 1% customs processing fee (minimum $10, maximum $750) and 10% VAT on the landed cost.
