Inorganic Chemicals β€” Bahamas import duty

Chapter 28 covers inorganic chemicals. The most common rate is 45% import duty (180 of 181 tariff lines), with rates ranging from 45% to 100%. It includes alkali or alkaline- earth metals, sulphuric acid and nitric acid. Duty is not the whole bill: The Bahamas adds a 1% customs processing fee (minimum $10, maximum $750) and 10% VAT on the landed cost.
