Preserved Fruit & Vegetables: Bahamas import duty
Most preserved fruit & vegetables are duty-free: 94 of 96 tariff lines under Chapter 20 carry no import duty, and the rest run up to 75%. It includes mushrooms and truffles, vegetables, fruit, nuts and jams, fruit jellies, marmalades. Duty is not the whole bill: The Bahamas adds a 1% customs processing fee (minimum $10, maximum $1,500) and 10% VAT on the landed cost.
